Tiny Tweeties is so much more than a singing class for little ones. Our sessions have been carefully written and designed around the seven areas of learning in the EYFS with music and movement supporting many skills needed for achieving the early learning goals.
Singing is one of the best things you can do with your developing child. Research shows that parental engagement in learning especially singing underpins many learning outcomes in the early years. Singing with your child can benefit attachment, listening, language, communication, early phonics and pre-reading skills too. Combined with movement and instruments, singing also enhances physical development both fine and gross motor, hand-eye coordination and pre-writing movements. So, it is with all of these outcomes in mind we have specifically arranged, written and devised our sessions in order to give you and your child the best start for an amazing journey of learning together. So why not come along and try something different, uplifting, educational and fun.
This six week introduction block of sessions will help you learn beautiful new songs and movements to bond and interact with your new baby. Devised by Tiny Tweeties along with experienced attachment specialist health visitors, these sessions will give you newly composed songs plus some of our favourite adapted nursey rhymes to sing together. There will be a variety of music genres and styles, some upbeat, some slow and calming so that you the adult can enjoy the music too!! Your baby will love you singing, playing percussion instruments and gently dancing together creating special moments to share. Parents have thanked us for writing songs that mean so much to them. Music is such an evocative way to remember these precious times while helping your baby learn from the earliest start.
The baby session is for babies from zero to just walking and this ensures that little ones can enjoy our fantastic Tiny Tweeties songs and movements with their adults in a gentle environment, using percussion instruments, fabrics and lots more to bring themes to life. These sessions are themed and each theme lasts four weeks to help consolidate language, rhythmical patterns, enhance anticipation and prediction. Physical development is enhanced through gross and fine motor actions to the songs with you helping your little ones to bounce, enjoy the rhythm and eventually take little steps together as you move to the songs. Puppets and special characters help engage the children and bring songs to life for everyone. The themes range from dinosaurs, space, seaside/pirates, wild animals, classic rhymes and stories, spring/minibeasts, superheroes, winter/Christmas, Autumn/Halloween and more.
